Bredhurst Church of England Primary School

Monday 23rd September the KS2 Football Team attended the International Day of Peace at the Gallagher Stadium. playing in the National league Trust Tournament. 36 schools participated, each school representing a country. Bredhurst represented India and was give the countries flag. All teams then met the Mayor of Maidstone before the tournament begun.  The Team consisting of Kairo, Marcell, Elliott, Dominic, Roman, Henry and Rory, managed to win the first round against five Schools/Countries. 3-1. 4-1. 1-0. 2-0 and 1-0. Goal scorers were Kairo, Marcell and Henry. Rory and Dominic played brilliantly in defence with Elliott pressurising the other teams up front. Roman was in goal and helped keep the scores down with is excellent saves. The team got through to the quarter finals, but unfortunately they were beaten 1-0 which then ended their chances of moving forward in the competition. All the boys played brilliantly and showed great spirit even though they were disappointed at the final result.
