Year 4 PSA Thamesview Tournament

8 July 2024 (by Carol Sage (Carol))

Year 4 + 2 Year 3 children were winners of the PSA Thamesview Football Tournament

Our year 4 (and two year 3) children made a formidable team in the PSA football competition.

Jamie Jackson made some super saves. He made a fantastic double save, resulting in him injuring his finger but keeping us in the competition! Lennie Smith was strong at the back, making it difficult for the opposition to get through, he also stood in as goalkeeper for the end of a game.  Felicity Friday played well in all her positions from goalkeeper to attacking winger.  Oscar Sheridan was solid at the back, breaking up the play.  Kairo Sage was outstanding with his dancing footwork, his long shots, his goal scoring and his ability in assisting goals.  Lily Rose Bennett-Smith played an important midfield role, assisting our only goal in one of the matches, which helped to get us to the final.  Marcell Ward scored several fantastic goals, topping off with a brilliant header from a long goal kick.  Freddie Benton, played fantastically, giving his all in every position and was awarded player of the tournament for his impressive playing.

Well done to the whole team, Mr Peters said you were a credit to the school with your excellent behaviour and you finished the competition as very well deserved winners with a perfect win record. We now have a beautiful gold trophy for our trophy cabinet!
