Bredhurst Church of England Primary School

The netball team played in the Mini Youth Games on Tuesday.  Unfortunately it was not to be their day.  Their first match was not well umpired with the other team not playing by the rules, leading to Mr Peters putting in a complaint, which meant the end result was a deemed a draw rather than a loss to us.  This really affected our players, who were quite shocked that another school had not stuck to the rules of the tournament.  They played their next matches, but were unable to gain a lead.  They eventually won a game with a score of 3-1.  Some of the children struggled to score as they seemed to have lost their confidence due to the knockbacks.  The tournament also saw us with a couple of injuries; both Amelia and Mikel were injured and had to sit out two matches!  The final result was 24th out of 27th schools.  Not the result they would have liked but they tried hard and worked hard as a team—we definitely need to make sure we have more shooting practice ready for next year!
