Year 6 Christmas Experience8 December 2022 (by admin) |
On Wednesday 7th December, Year 6 were invited to St Matthews Church for a Christmas Experience event.
The children went round to six stations representing parts of the Christmas story - to understand the significance of gifts given, the journey to Bethlehem, significance of the shepherds given the news to share, the preparation behind Jesus' arrival, the announcement of his arrival and the gift of Christmas. Each station had activities for the children to take part in.
"When we entered St Matthew's church we were greeted by Reverend Brian and his colleagues. We did 6 activities and I loved them all. I would be happy to go again."
Lois - Year 6
"When we had entered St Matthews church, we sat down in a circle so that Reverent Brian could tell us about the nativity. We participated in 6 activites and learnt more about the birth of Jesus. It was so much fun and I would love to do it again."
